The presentation will provide an overview of the current technical and regulatory status of Microplastics as emerging contaminants with particular emphasis on developments in California. It will also discuss identified needs and opportunities in assessing and managing Microplastics concerns.
Speaker Information:
Usha Vedagiri, Ph.D, is a Senior Vice-President at WSP and has focused on risk assessment and risk management for emerging chemicals such as Microplastics, PFAS, 6-PPDQ, and others. She was an active participant and contributor to the ITRC Microplastics Teams and continues as a trainer on ITRC's Internet-based training for Microplastics for several years. She is one of the panelists on the American Bar Association's Microplastics podcast. At WSP, she assists clients with strategic, regulatory and liability management support on emerging contaminants.
COST:
$50 for members, $60 for non-members. Members, sign up by Friday, June 19 and save $5 on registration! Walk-ins with no reservation will be charged an extra $10 and be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.
